We believe our commitment to volunteerism is an integral part of what makes us a good corporate citizen, a great place to work, and a company with which others want to do business.
Whether it’s for a day or a lifetime, Far Corner now gives its employees the time to give back to the community. In order to encourage and facilitate involvement by all team members, the company established a program that provides paid time off for participation in virtually any charitable activity. A volunteer committee is maintained to educate and support co-workers in various organizations and causes, and to share details of those volunteer experiences throughout the companies. Charities served by this program represent a wide range of interests from literacy efforts to support of the visual arts to improving the lives of our youth.
In addition, the companies and their team members are privileged to participate in a number of local and national organizations through their board memberships, ongoing financial contributions, and their time and effort to help improve lives.
These organizations include:

In 2012, the company created a professionally managed endowment for ongoing financial support of organizations and causes of interest to the company and its staff. Administered by the volunteer committee, monies are distributed to groups around the world for which individual staff members have a particular interest. A part of the granting process is a requirement that the employee requesting the funds educate the rest of the company about the cause.
